💖 What is Broschtkriibslaf?

Broschtkriibslaf 2025 is Luxembourg’s biggest awareness-raising event for breast cancer, bringing together over 2,700 people every year. Organised by Europa Donna Luxembourg, this 5km walk or run through the lush Hesperange park and the streets of Fentange is a joyful, meaningful way to honour survivors, remember those lost, and raise awareness of prevention.

And yes, it’s also a lot of fun!

ALGSO is thrilled to take part as a team, with our own stand, a vibrant crew of members and supporters, and our trademark t-shirts, goodies and positive energy.

Whether you’re walking, jogging, or cheering from the sidelines, wear something pink and join the ALGSO family for a beautiful day full of strength, smiles and solidarity.

💙 A Moment of Tribute: Honouring Josiane Trierweiler

At this year’s Broschtkriibslaf, we will take a moment to honour the memory of Josiane Trierweiler, cherished member of our ALGSO committee and mother of our founder, Charel Trierweiler.

💫 Join us at 9:00 AM sharp at the ALGSO stand to raise a glass in her honour. Josiane’s dedication, kindness, and love helped shape the ALGSO into the warm, inclusive, and supportive community it is today.

🥂 Please bring your own cup — we’ll provide the drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available).

To join the ALGSO team for free, register before 28 September 2025 by sending us:

After 28 September, registration is still possible on site, but at the participant’s own expense. (More info on that here)

🛏️ How to Get There

Start/Finish: Park next to the Joseph Altmann Centre, Hesperange

🚋 By Tram/Bus:

• Tram to Howald Station, then:
  • Free shuttle from PE Howald (Platform 8), OR
  • Bus 461 from PE Howald (Platform 3) to “Sprëtzenhaus” stop, then walk to the Joseph Altmann Centre

🚄 By Train:

• Train to Howald Gare, then shuttle or Bus 461 (as above)

🚗 By Car:

• Park at P+R Lux-Sud and take the free shuttle or Bus 461
• Limited parking in Hesperange (see official map)

🌟 Programme Overview

• 08:30–10:00: Bib collection & on-site registration
• 09:45: Official speech + Rosport Trophy awards (to biggest teams!)
• 10:00: Warm-up session
• 10:15: 🏃 Start of the Broschtkriibslaf
• Distance: 5km – go at your own pace!

🏠 BKL Village + Catering

The “Village BKL” next to the Joseph Altmann Centre hosts all participating associations, including:

• ALGSO (That’s us! Hi! 👋)
• Europa Donna Luxembourg
• Fondation Cancer
• CHL, HRS, Lions Action Vaincre le Cancer, and more

🍔 Food & drinks include sausages, Eisekuchen, Gromperekichelcher, soups, salads, cakes, drinks

🚰 Refreshments & Sustainability

• Water and bananas available at refreshment points
• ❌ No plastic cups: Bring your 2022 pink cup or your own
• Limited cups on site
