Walking Together, Healing Together: Join ALGSO at Relais pour la Vie 2026
Why Relais pour la Vie Matters to Our ALGSO Family
March 21st and 22nd are coming, and the ALGSO family is gearing up for one of Luxembourg’s most inspiring events: Relais pour la Vie 2026.
This isn’t just another charity event.
It’s a powerful celebration of resilience, community, and hope.
Since our founding, ALGSO has participated in Relais pour la Vie with passion and purpose, bringing together cancer survivors, fighters, and supporters who understand that every step taken is a step toward healing.
The beauty of Relais pour la Vie lies in its mission: honouring those we’ve lost, celebrating survivors, and supporting the ongoing fight against cancer. When ALGSO participates, we transform those 24 hours into something truly magical. We bring our motto to life: Move Together, Heal Together, and create a space where every person feels the warmth of our community wrapping around them.
Whether you’re walking the full relay or joining us virtually, your presence matters. Your steps count. Your voice is heard.

The ALGSO Team: More Than Just Runners
This year, our ALGSO team will be smaller on-site than in previous years, but here’s the exciting part: we’re expanding our reach through a connected virtual walking team.
This means you don’t need to be in Luxembourg to join us!
Whether you’re across the border in Belgium, France, or anywhere else in the world, you can lace up your trainers and walk with your ALGSO family.
Think about what this means for our community.
Imagine cancer survivors from different countries, different backgrounds, different ages: all united in one purposeful movement.
That’s the power of Relais pour la Vie for ALGSO.
Last year’s event brought together incredible individuals who shared their stories, celebrated their strength, and welcomed newcomers into our growing family. The energy, the laughter, the solidarity: those moments define what we stand for.
Check out our photo gallery from last year’s event to see the magic we create together.

The Impact of Your Participation
When you run or walk with ALGSO at the Relais pour la Vie Luxembourg, you’re doing far more than completing kilometres. You’re supporting evidence-based sports programmes that genuinely transform lives during and after cancer treatment.
Scientific research consistently shows that physical activity reduces fatigue, improves recovery, enhances mental health, and boosts overall quality of life for cancer patients. Your participation directly funds the professional coaching, adapted classes, and community support that make this possible.
Moreover, every person who joins our team becomes part of the ALGSO family.
This isn’t transactional, you’re not just a member or a donor.
You’re joining lifelong friends who understand your journey because they’ve walked similar paths.
You’ll find people at different stages: some still fighting, some celebrating remission, some honouring loved ones they’ve lost.
That shared understanding creates a bond that’s truly irreplaceable.
Last year, Team ALGSO brought incredible energy to the Coque. From emotional solidarity to joyful costume laps at 4am. The bonds formed, the tears shared, and the laughter echoed long after the final lap. You can read all about it in our detailed recap article.
This year, we’re back… and we want YOU with us.
Let’s Move Together This March
The countdown is on for Relais pour la Vie 2026. Whether you’re walking on-site in Luxembourg, joining our virtual team from elsewhere, or supporting us through a donation, your presence strengthens our movement.
Cancer doesn’t define you, but your strength, your resilience, and your community absolutely do.
Don’t wait. Contact Arlette now and register today. Share this opportunity with friends, family, and colleagues. Follow us on social media for training updates, motivational stories, and community highlights leading up to the event. Together, we’ll walk 24 hours of purpose, celebration, and hope.
